Your 'New Best Friend' Is an Old One in Horror Film Reboot

Chucky is headed back to the big screen this summer in 'Child's Play'; get a taste with this trailer

Whether you missed Child's Play the first time around (and/or any of its six sequels) or you're a Chucky superfan, a reboot of the 1988 film is on its way to movie theaters this summer—and a new trailer promises the creepy thrills you're hoping for. The one-minute-plus spot for the movie, which Mashable notes stars Aubrey Plaza and Brian Tyree Henry of Atlanta, starts out like a commercial for some unknown product (it's referred to as "your new best friend") by a futuristic company named Kaslan Corp. Set to the chipper Harry Nilsson tune "Best Friend," the clip then offers hints as to what happens when the new "friend" is unleashed. The new Child's Play is set to open June 21.
