(Newser) – Students at Maryland's Towson University have been advised by police to keep an eye out for a woman apparently seeking a date for her son. The odd warning came via a campus-wide "incident advisory" that police sent out after students reported being approached by the woman, said to be in her 50s and wearing a colorful scarf, in the school's Cook Library and Center for the Arts on Feb. 6 and 7, reports WBAL. She reportedly displayed a photo of her son on her phone and asked if the students might like to date him. Police say there's no criminal element to their advisory, but they'd like to tell her to stop and have asked anyone who knows her or encounters her to contact them, reports the Baltimore Sun.
