The Bronx Zoo says a woman who climbed inside its lion exhibit and appeared to taunt one of the animals is lucky she wasn't killed or seriously injured. In video captured by a bystander Saturday, the woman waves at the apparently puzzled male lion and dances, NBC reports. The woman has not been identified. Police say they were not informed of the incident until Tuesday, when the zoo filed a complaint for criminal trespass, reports CNN. "This action was a serious violation and unlawful trespass that could have resulted in serious injury or death," the zoo said in a statement. "We have a zero tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers." ABC7 reports that the zoo told police there was a moat with a 14-foot drop between the lion and where the woman was standing. (A Chilean man was unsuccessful when he attempted suicide by lion.)
