Think you get crappy deals? A New Jersey woman claims she ordered diapers on Amazon and received a nasty surprise inside, ABC News reports. Nassly Sales says she ordered the two boxes this week on Amazon's Warehouse section, which offers return-item and open-box discounts. "I picked up the diapers and it was a little bit heavy. I was half asleep and the lights were off," the Jersey City woman tells WPVI. "At that point, I turn on the light and that's when I noticed these diapers are neatly-folded and they are soiled." Her family says they haven't had the substance tested, but it smells and looks like feces.
So Sales used rubbing alcohol to disinfect the nursery of her 19-month-old daughter, who was born 26 weeks premature, weighing just over a pound, per Pix 11. Sales says the apparent health hazard was only inches away from her micro preemie daughter. Then came the call to Amazon's customer service: "They were like 'OK sorry for your inconvenience, we will give you a refund. You're more than welcome to keep the stuff, you don’t need to return it,'" says the father, Sid Mukherje. "And my thought was 'Wow, you are not understanding what I'm saying.'" They're calling for a better explanation, while Amazon says it "deeply regret[s]" the incident and "worked directly with the customer to address the situation." (Read more Amazon stories.)
