The NBA is not standing alone against the police shooting of Jacob Blake. After the Milwaukee Bucks boycotted its Wednesday playoff game and the league ultimately postponed that and two other games, three WNBA games, five Major League Soccer games, and three Major League Baseball games originally planned for Wednesday were postponed in solidarity with the Bucks' move, CNN reports. And in the world of tennis, two-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka said she would also participate, sitting out Thursday's Western & Southern Open semifinals, Sports Illustrated reports. "Before I am an athlete, I am a Black woman," she tweeted. "I don’t expect anything drastic to happen with me not playing. But if I can get a conversation started in a majority white sport I consider that a step in the right direction." (The cop who shot Blake has been IDed.)
