The first lady gave her successor some tips on White House living during the Obamas' visit yesterday, and the moms discussed the difficulties of raising daughters in the fishbowl environment, Reuters reports. Laura Bush, meeting Michelle Obama for the first time, showed her around every room of the Obamas' future home, paying particular attention to the likely bedrooms of Malia and Sasha.

The first lady had plenty of advice for the Obamas on "how they can truly have a home here at the White House, enjoy all that Washington has to offer, and raise their family here," said a Bush spokeswoman. Barack Obama was shown around by the president, who pointed out some of his favorite spots: the Lincoln Bedroom, the president's private workspace, and the White House gym.
