Wal-Mart Will Push TVs, Laptops on Black Friday

Details of Wal-Mart's Black Friday deals—normally kept under wraps until Thanksgiving week—have been obtained by CNNMoney and partially confirmed by the retailer. The day after Thanksgiving will see deep discounts on high-def TVs, laptops, and Blu-ray players. Some specifics:

  • Sanyo 50-inch plasma TVs will be available for $598.
  • Magnavox Blu-ray players will sell for $78.
  • Tom Tom GPS units will cost $78.

In computers, Black Friday will see:

  • eMachine laptops with 15.6-inch display, 2GB memory, and 160GB hard drive on sale for $198.
  • HP laptops with 15.6-inch display, 3GB memory, and 250GB hard drive selling for $298.
  • XBox 360 consoles with three games for $199.
  • 8GB iPod Touch for $195, with a $50 iTunes card.
