Ex-veep candidate tells Tea Party Convention it's 'the future'

(Newser) – To chants of "run, Sarah, run," Sarah Palin told the Tea Party Convention last night that "America is ready for another revolution," and that the activists gathered to hear her speak would be the ones to carry it out. “This movement is the future of politics in America,” Alaska's erstwhile governor told the gathering of 1,100 in Nashville.

President Obama and Democrats provided much fodder for Palin's $100,000, 40-minute speech, which laced into them for everything from federal spending ("generational theft") to the war on terror ("we need a commander-in-chief, not a professor") to the 2008 election ("How's that hopey, changey stuff working out for you?"). She concluded with a 15-minute Q&A session of pre-selected questions.
