You may have wanted to shoot your television as you watched Bristol Palin, inexplicably, continue to advance on Dancing With the Stars ... but one guy actually pulled the trigger. Steven N. Cowan, 66, was watching the show with his wife Monday when he got so angry at Palin's appearance that he started railing about "the [expletive] politics," grabbed a single-shot shotgun, and fired at his TV. Yelling for his pistols, which his daughter had previously taken away for safety reasons, he reloaded and turned the gun on his wife.

She fled the house, and her husband then engaged in a 15-hour standoff with police before surrendering at 11am yesterday, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. Wife Janice says he's also been stressed over finances, has been receiving mental health care, and was drinking that night. He has been charged with reckless endangerment. Click here to watch the performance that so incensed him, or click here if you'd rather torture yourself with the knowledge that Palin actually made it to the finals last night.
