Two alumna from Cornell University will be attending their class reunion today, and there's a good excuse for the low turnout—the classmates are 102 years old. Cornell University is holding its first 80th class reunion for Ruth Laible Tallmadge and Rosemary Hunt Todd of the class of 1931. The women will present a spirit banner for Cornell's newest alumni class that's reuniting, the class of 2006. They are two of 30 living members from that graduating year.

Another member of the class, Bill Vanneman, had written to his classmates and encouraged them to return for tomorrow night's reunion. Vanneman, who had been class president, had planned to attend, but he died April 26. (More Cornell Big Red stories.)
