(Newser) – His country is being bombed and he’s now a legitimate target of NATO, but Moammar Gadhafi nonetheless took time out of his busy schedule last night … to play chess. The Libyan leader appeared on state television playing against World Chess Federation President and Russian provincial governor Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, the Telegraph reports. The AP notes, humorously, that Gadhafi "seemed somewhat unsure of how the game is played." Ilyumzhinov says Gadhafi told him he has no plans to leave Libya. (Click for another weird Gadhafi story.)
