A dog attacked a cat in Alaska, and the reason this is making national headlines is because the cat happens to be the honorary mayor in the town of Talkeetna. The 16-year-old Stubbs was making his usual rounds over the weekend when the attack occurred, reports the Alaska Dispatch. The cat is now recovering at a vet's office in Wasilla, but it's not clear whether he'll survive. Stubbs had become the stuff of legend—and a tourist attraction in his own right—thanks to TV stories like this one last year on KTUU. Talkeetna's other claim to fame is nearby Mt. McKinley.
