Woman Jumps From Hotel, Lands on Pedestrian

A man is in critical condition after a woman jumped from the 11th floor of a Los Angeles hotel this morning and landed on top of him, the Los Angeles Times reports. The victim was walking by the Crowne Plaza hotel when he was hit from above, and the woman died instantly. The AP reports authorities don't know why the woman jumped. The identities of the victim and the woman have not been released. (More homicide stories.)
