"I don't think I have ever heard of an attempt to rob a bank quite like this,'' says Jefferson County Chief Deputy Randy Christian in Alabama. It's easy to see why: Police say a 24-year-old woman entered a bank in Forestdale Wednesday morning and delivered the manager a note with a strange demand, reports Al.com. If he handed over $6,000, the woman would provide him a sexual favor and be on her way. If he refused, she would accuse him of sexual assault.
The manager refused to hand over the money, and deputies soon arrived and arrested Rachel Camille Calhoun of Birmingham, who WBRC reports is charged with first-degree attempted extortion and first-degree attempted theft. "Our deputies were on the scene very quickly and saved this employee from something," says Christian. "I'm not sure exactly what, but we saved him from something." (Read more weird crimes stories.)
