Tim Cook Changes Twitter Name to 'Tim Apple'

He turns Trump mix-up into reality

(Newser) – Tim Cook evidently saw the funny side after President Trump got his name wrong during a White House meeting Wednesday. "We appreciate it very much, Tim Apple," the president said after thanking the Apple CEO for investing in the US. On Thursday, Cook made the flub reality by changing his name on Twitter to "Tim Apple." He used the Apple emoji, meaning people on non-Apple devices are likely to see a blank box after the word Tim, Fortune reports. Trump was mocked on social media for the mix-up, which has precedent: Business Insider notes that last year, the president referred to Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson as "Marillyn Lockheed."
