Late-night hosts had a field day with Kanye West and Elon Musk Thursday night, with Stephen Colbert announcing West wasn’t just restricted from social media platforms but was now banned from The Late Show. "I had to do it now because I was afraid that he would just show up at any moment," Colbert said, referring to the artist's unannounced appearance at a Sketchers store, from which he had to be escorted. "Apparently, Kanye is so desperate, he's just driving around and searching Google Maps for 'shoes near me,'" Colbert quipped.

  • More from Colbert: "I have no excuses for why I didn't do this before," he said of his ban, "except that he has never been on the show, had no plans to be on the show, we have never asked him to be on the show, and I’m not sure he’s aware that I have a show." He also joked: "I'm ending all of our high-profile collabs, including, but not restricted to, our collection of spreadable jams, Strawbeezy Jelleezy. And I have decided not to release our duets album, Ye and Phen Sing Fiddler on the Roof."

  • Jimmy Fallon: "Just when you thought Kanye made the most bizarre entrance, Elon was like, 'Hold my sink,'" said the Tonight Show host in reference to Elon Musk's appearance at Twitter headquarters. "He walked into their headquarters carrying a sink just so that he could tweet—this is real—'Entering Twitter HQ. Let that sink in,'" Fallon said, adding "that pun cost him $44 billion."
  • Trevor Noah: "I know a lot of people think that was corny, but I think once you have 87 children, you are allowed to make dad jokes," quipped the Daily Show host, who then questioned whether the sink was one Musk "ripped out of the wall when the judge told him that he had to buy Twitter." He added if Jeff Bezos tried to do the same thing at Amazon, "his employees would be like, 'Oh wow, we're finally getting a restroom?'"

  • Jimmy Kimmel: The Jimmy Kimmel Live host took aim at George Senate candidate Herschel Walker after a second woman came forward claiming he paid for her abortion. But "Herschel Walker really owes Kanye West for taking the focus off [him]," he quipped. "Does anyone else feel like we're about to find out that for the past 20 years Kanye has been a Sacha Baron Cohen character?"
