Former comedian and KWY-TV anchor Larry Mendte probably isn’t laughing now. He’s facing a felony charge for hacking into ex-co-anchor Alycia Lane’s computer and doling out information—including bikini photos—to gossip columnists and blogs, the Philadelphia Daily News reports. “The charges are unprecedented,” Lane’s lawyer for a separate wrongful-termination suit says.

Mendte allegedly hacked into Lane’s computer 537 times this year, logging into her email as often as 12 times per day. The TV station eventually terminated Lane for her continual gossip scandals—the source of which, the feds now say, was frequently her co-anchor. "It's no different than someone stealing your locked briefcase, containing information from your lawyer, prying it open and helping themselves to the contents,” a US attorney says.
