Jaycee Dugard's two children fathered by her accused kidnapper only learned days ago that their mom had been abducted, Jaycee's stepdad told ABC News. They're "upset" about Phillip Garrido's arrest because "that's their father," said Carl Probyn. "Jaycee had to explain to them that she had been kidnapped. They didn't even know that." He described the two girls—Starlet and Angel—as "clingy" with their dad.

Pobyn said the two, now 11 and 15 years old, had no schooling or dental or medical care in their backyard prison camp. He said he's overjoyed that the "pure hell" of the last 18 years since Jaycee's disappearance is over, but he dreads the coming trial and worries about his stepdaughter's and her children's long recover from their ordeal. "These girls are so fragile," he said. "Everything is about these girls and doing things the right way." (More Jaycee Lee Dugard stories.)
