Bethany Storro, who made headlines after claiming that her face was splashed with acid by an anonymous attacker, is now admitting that her story was fabricated. She originally stated that on August 30, a woman walked up to her and threw a cup of acid in her face outside a Starbucks in Washington state. Now she says she inflicted the disfiguring burns on herself.

Storro said she had bought a pair of sunglasses an hour before the attack, and that saved her eyesight. Holes began to appear in her story when investigators couldn't find anyone who witnessed the incident. After questioning, she revealed it was a hoax. Read the full article at AOL News.
