Following an uproar over Justin Bieber’s comments about abortion in a Rolling Stone interview, the magazine admits it misquoted him. The preview for the article originally had Bieber saying, “I really don't believe in abortion. It's like killing a baby?" And, in the case of a woman who was raped, "Um. Well, I think that's really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I guess I haven't been in that position, so I wouldn't be able to judge that." Turns out the preview left out one critical line: “I don’t know how that would be a reason.”

The update on the magazine’s website points to a shot of the print version, in which writer Vanessa Grigoriadis did correctly quote Bieber, like so: “‘I really don’t believe in abortion. I think [an embryo] is a human. It’s like killing a baby.’ Even in the case of rape? ‘Um,’ he says. ‘Well, I think that’s just really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I don’t know how that would be a reason.’ He looks confused. ‘I guess I haven’t been in that position, so I wouldn’t be able to judge that.’” Click for more from the interview, like how long Bieber thinks you should wait before having sex.
