An Amtrak train going 80mph hit a car this morning in Waverly, Va., but somehow driver Untron Drew survived. Drew was trying to drive around the crossing bar at the time, a police spokesperson says, "disregarding warning lights" as he crossed the tracks. His injuries are not life-threatening, WTVR reports. The crash took place at 5:57am, and alcohol is a factor, police say. No train passengers were injured. (More Amtrak stories.)
