The Daily Mail says it has obtained a new recording of Donald Sterling and—surprise, surprise—it doesn't paint the LA Clippers owner in a very good light. The tape was made during an hour-long phone call between Sterling and his friend, a black hip-hop artist who goes by Maserati and who released the recording to the Mail. In the phone call, which came after Sterling's original racist comments were revealed via a recording of him talking to galpal V. Stiviano, Sterling says it's actually Stiviano who's the racist, not him, and that she goaded him into making the remarks and tried to blackmail him with the recording.

He insists Stiviano is the "most discriminatory person I've ever seen," and that she told him, "God made me black. I didn’t want to be black. I got 15 brothers and sister, they're all Mexican and I'm the only one that's black. ... Do you know what it is to wake up every morning and wish you were white?" He also claims she refuses to date black men and bleaches her skin: "She tried so hard to make her skin white. She does it every night ... her feet, her hands. ... Who cares what color your skin is? Open your legs." Maserati handed over the recording because, he says, Sterling crossed a line. (More Donald Sterling stories.)
