A 20-year-old Florida woman was arrested today for allegedly riding a sea turtle, NBC News reports. Back in July, photos of two women who appeared to be sitting on or riding a large turtle went viral on social media, leading to a flurry of angry complaints to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, which launched a criminal investigation, according to WESH.

NBC reports police arrested Stephanie Moore this morning on a warrant for molesting a marine turtle after responding to a home for a report of a disturbance. The Melbourne Police Department announced the arrest on its Facebook page. According to WESH, authorities interviewed both Moore and the second woman, who has yet to be arrested or identified. It's a felony in Florida to "injure, harm, harass, or capture" sea turtles. (More sea turtle stories.)
