In a bit of scheming that would do Claire Underwood proud, Robin Wright says she threatened her way into getting equal pay on House of Cards, Sky News reports. After seeing data that Claire was at points more popular than fictional husband Frank Underwood, she decided it was time she was paid the same as Kevin Spacey. "I capitalized on it," the Huffington Post quotes Wright as saying during an event Tuesday in New York. "I was like, ‘You better pay me or I’m going to go public.' And they did.”

Wright was estimated to be making about $420,000 an episode in 2015. Spacey was reportedly already earning $500,000 per episode in 2014. “It was the perfect paradigm," Wright says. "There are very few films or TV shows where the male, the patriarch, and the matriarch are equal. And they are in House of Cards." (Some of the show's stars have shared their pick for president.)
