Given that somewhere around 44% of US households have a dog, Realtor.com took a look at which cities qualify as the most dog-friendly in the nation. Factors included stats on dog ownership, dog parks, pet-friendly restaurants, dog walkers, pet stores, etc. Here are the top 10, including the percentage of households with dogs:

  1. Charleston, SC (68%)
  2. Temecula, Calif. (85%)
  3. Las Vegas (62%)
  4. Scottsdale, Ariz. (69%)
  5. San Diego (63%)
  6. Austin, Texas (61%)
  7. Tampa, Fla. (57%)
  8. Fort Collins, Colo. (54%)
  9. Atlanta (54%)
  10. Seattle (52%)
