When the soon-to-be leader of the free world labels you a "failing pile of garbage," well, make T-shirts. BuzzFeed, under no small amount of scrutiny for its decision to publish an unsubstantiated bombshell alleging Russia has dirt on Donald Trump, took the aforementioned moniker Trump gave the site in Wednesday's press conference and quickly emerged with a line of apparel. The 100 garbage cans it put up online sold out fast, along with an unknown quantity of T-shirts and bumper stickers with the "failing pile of garbage" slogan—to the tune of more than $25,000, reports Business Insider. The proceeds, however, go not to BuzzFeed's possibly wounded feelings, but rather to the Committee to Protect Journalists. (More BuzzFeed stories.)
