(Newser) – The government shuttered, for months or even years? So said President Trump, and Sarah Huckabee Sanders backed him up Sunday: "Absolutely—the president means what he says when he says that," she said on Fox News Sunday, per Fox News. She also criticized Democrats for opposing the border wall while saying they support border security. But she ran into trouble with host Chris Wallace when claiming that "nearly 4,000 known or suspected terrorists come into our country illegally, and we know that our most vulnerable point of entry is at our southern border." Wallace noted that most suspects are nabbed at airports, and the State Department finds no evidence of terrorists crossing on the US-Mexico border. "Not always," said Sanders, who still insisted they come by "air," "land," and "sea": "It's all of the above," she said. For more Sunday political talk:
