A Florida couple is pressing charges against the person who allegedly wanted them dead: their 17-year-old daughter. CNN reports Alyssa Michelle Hatcher is facing two counts of criminal solicitation for murder; she was charged as a juvenile. Per an arrest affidavit, the Florida teen allegedly siphoned money from her parents' bank account via their debit card and used it to pay two people to do the deed. Alyssa allegedly paid $400 to a friend to find someone to carry out the murders, reports the Miami Herald. Per the affidavit, Alyssa then said she paid $900 to "a black man" to kill her parents when the first person didn't act. Investigators say she told them she also used $100 to purchase cocaine.

WESH reports the Lake County Sheriff's Office deputies learned of the alleged plot after a student told a school resource officer at Umatilla High School that Alyssa had given a friend "a lot of money" to off her parents. Her boyfriend reportedly told investigators that he’d seen Alyssa on Monday morning and she told him that she wanted them dead. She was arrested that same day. WFTV reports Alyssa's stepfather is a lieutenant with the Clermont Police Department; it's unclear if he was one of the parents she was allegedly targeting. (More murder plot stories.)
