Stocks are closing at more record highs on Wall Street, extending the market's gains for the week. The latest gains follow encouraging earnings reports from several big companies, including Rite Aid and Conagra Brands. Stocks, bonds, gold and a gauge measuring fear among traders made only modest moves Thursday, the first day of trading after President Trump’s impeachment. The S&P 500 rose 14 points, or 0.4%, to 3,205. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 137 points, or 0.5%, to 28,376, and the Nasdaq rose 59 points, or 0.7%, to 8,887. The yield on the 10-year Treasury held steady at 1.92%.
