Vicious Beating of NY Gay Caught on Tape
Daniel Rodriquez, 21, was the second man busted in the beating of Jack Price, 49.   (NYPD)

The brutal hate-crime beating of a gay man on a deserted Queens street was captured on a neighborhood surveillance video. Jack Price, 49, tries repeatedly to escape his attackers who continue to punch and stomp him on the tape. "From beginning to end, it was absolutely horrible," Price's sister-in-law told the New York Daily News. Two men have been arrested in the attack. Price remains in critical condition in a coma.

His jaw and several ribs were broken in the attack and both lungs collapsed. "It's a despicable crime, said Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly. "The individual was attacked simply for his orientation, and we're just not going to tolerate it in this city." (More hate crime stories.)
