A gargantuan Great Dane from Arizona has been officially named as not just the world's tallest dog, but the tallest dog ever. Officials from the Guinness Book of World Records traveled to Tucson to measure the behemoth after receiving conflicting measurements. They confirmed that Giant George stands 43 inches from paw to shoulder, the BBC reports.

Giant George—who weighs a whopping 250 pounds—is three-quarters of an inch taller than his nearest rival, Titan, a Great Dane from San Diego. George's owner says the dog chomps his way through 110 pounds of food a month and sleeps on his own queen-sized bed inside the house. George was given his own row of three airline seats to travel in comfort to a recent media appearance in Chicago.
