(Newser) – Rachel Maddow really isn’t going to let Scott Brown live down his unfounded claim that Democrats were trying to get her to run for senator against him. Maddow, who’d already poked fun at Brown once for the fundraising e-mail he sent out based on the rumor, did it again last night, offering him this fake “attack ad” to use against her.

She also took out a full-page ad in today’s Boston Globe, using the space to write a letter to her fellow Massachusetts residents. “I’m running this ad not because I’m running against Scott Brown—he made that up—but because he’s the senator for all of us,” she wrote. “Maybe this will make him think twice the next time he wants to smear one of his constituents to raise money out-of-state.” The Huffington Post has the full ad.
