Turns out a MySpace user with a sexy profile is a registered sex offender who has been charged with the rape and murder of California teenager Chelsea King. MySpace has now removed the profile of John Albert Gardner, who used a fake name, email and hometown to register his account. The profile lists his name as "Jason Stud" and "Energizer Bunny," names the Playboy Mansion as his hometown, and lists CSI and Bones among his favorite TV shows, AP notes.
Gardner was an infrequent user who had only two friends listed, according to MySpace. One of his postings read: "Love is just one big ugly compromise of two people pretending not to know what the other is doing." The profile's last log in was the day before King went missing in February. He's also being probed in the disappearance of a 14-year-old San Diego area girl. Officials are investigating whether Gardner violated his parole by setting up the MySpace account.
