Obama: Rangel Should Quit
Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., leaves his office for a vote on Capitol Hill in Washington, Friday, July 30, 2010.    (Alex Brandon)

Charlie Rangel might sleep just perfectly at night, but President Obama is calling the ethics charges against him "very troubling," and wants the 80-year-old to step down—like now. "He's somebody who's at the end of his career. I'm sure that what he wants is to be able to end his career with dignity. And my hope is that it happens," Obama said last night on CBS Evening News.

Dignity, schmignity, reports Politico, citing a Rangel source who says Charlie “doesn’t give a damn about what the president thinks about this,” and won't be stepping down anytime soon.
