It's still not clear whether the Rand Paul supporter who stepped on the head of MoveOn.org member Lauren Vale will face charges, but Vale tells the Washington Post she was "certainly injured" and promised more legal action. The man, Tim Profitt, apologized. "I'm sorry that it came to that, and I apologize if it appeared overly forceful, but I was concerned about Rand's safety," he tells the AP. He added that police ignored a man who told them "about the girl who was standing there with that wig on and that she was getting ready to do something."

Vale, who planned to present Paul with a fake employee of the month award, said Paul's supporters knew she was from MoveOn. "It was premeditated. As soon as Rand Paul's car showed up they started to move in front of me." She was able to give media interviews afterward, explaining to the Post that the pain in her head and neck didn't truly settle in for about 90 minutes. "I was certainly injured," she said. "If you have any questions about that, maybe watch it again." (More Rand Paul stories.)
