Homeland Security has uncovered a terrorist plot to spread ricin and cyanide into American salad bars and buffets, CBS reports. Select corporate security officers from the restaurant and hotel industries have already been briefed on the threat, which a major intelligence source described as “credible.” The terrorists appear intent on hitting a wide range of targets over a single weekend.

The plot is reportedly the work of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, the same group that’s been linked to the cargo plane attack, the Christmas Day attack, and several others. AQAP’s online propaganda outlets have posted instructions on making the poisons, and for carrying out the attacks, complete with video. As little as 250 milligrams of either poison can prove fatal.
