Schaal: Persecuted Arab Women Should Move to...

Vagistan? Well, OK, that was just one idea

Women may have played a leading role in the protests sweeping across the Middle East, but they're still finding themselves locked out of the new governments. And that's "not surprising," noted Kristen Schaal last night on the Daily Show. "Revolutions are notorious sausagefests. And just when it seemed like Egypt was going to be a democracy clam jam, boom! Here comes the grand ol' pickle party!"

But that's OK: "Fortunately, there's a precedent in the Middle East for groups of people who have been historically persecuted." Namely, their own holy land. Schaal's first idea for a name? "Vagistan." No? She also tried "She-gypt" and "Turk-women-istan," while Jon Stewart countered with "Misrael," "Boobados," and "Lesbanon." Watch the video to find out which name they agreed on, or click for more Schaal. (More Kristen Schaal stories.)
