Romney Camp: Obama Ate Dog Meat
"In hindsight, a chilling photo," Fernstrom wrote.   (White House)

Here come the dog wars: The Romney campaign, apparently sick of fielding questions about Seamus the Irish setter, is drawing attention to a dog-unfriendly incident in President Obama's past. The president said that he was fed dog meat as a child in Indonesia in his autobiography, Dreams From My Father, a conservative columnist revealed yesterday, prompting a top Romney adviser to retweet a photo of Obama and White House dog Bo with the caption, "In hindsight, a chilling photo," Politico reports.

The Obama campaign called the tweet a low blow, noting that Obama was just a child when he ate dog meat. Tweeted one of his campaign reps in response: "What's the next attack @EricFehrn and the RNC will surface on a 6-10 year old?" The Seamus issue resurfaced earlier this week when, during an ABC interview, Ann Romney defended Mitt's transporting of their dog in a carrier strapped to the roof of the family car.
