Nude AIDS Activists Invade Boehner's Office

Seven protesters showed up at John Boehner's office wearing nothing but their birthday suits today to voice their support for federal funding to fight AIDS. "Boehner, Boehner, don't be a d---, budget cuts will make us sick," sang the protesters, each of whom had slogans like "AIDS CUTS KILL" painted on their naked bodies. When police showed up and repeatedly threatened to arrest the protesters, they put on their clothes and left, Talking Points Memo reports. But the three female protesters were arrested anyway while talking to reporters in the hallway; the four male protesters got away.

Before being hauled off, one of the women explained that they were there "to tell the naked truth" about the budget cuts that could kick in with the so-called fiscal cliff, which AIDS activist groups say would bite into anti-AIDS funding. "The truth is that people with AIDS have been stripped naked for years," she said. "There are waiting lists in this country where people with AIDS are dying." (More John Boehner stories.)
