Police Release Infrared Photos of Boston Manhunt
   (Massachusetts State Police)

After a Watertown resident told police he thought Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev might be hiding in his backyard last night, authorities used a helicopter equipped with a thermal imager to verify that Tsarnaev was indeed lying under a tarp in the man's boat, NBC reports. "It picked up the heat signature of the individual," said a police spokesperson. "There was movement from that point on. The helicopter was able to direct the tactical teams over to that area." Massachusetts State Police have now released the incredible aerial images via Twitter. In some photos, you can see police using a robotic arm to remove the boat's tarp, notes Talking Points Memo.
