TV News Crew Robbed at Gunpoint in Broad Daylight

(Newser) – A crew from San Francisco's KGO-TV was held up at gunpoint in West Oakland yesterday, despite being accompanied by a security guard and being out in broad daylight. None of the victims was injured, but the robbers made off with their camera equipment. This is just the latest in a series of similar robberies against news media workers while out and about in Oakland, says the Chronicle—in November last year, one cameraman was assaulted and robbed in the middle of a live broadcast.
