A Minneapolis cop got shot this morning in what the police say was a deliberate attack, reports CBS Minnesota. The officer is hospitalized in satisfactory condition, and his injuries are not life-threatening. He and his partner were wrapping up a burglary call about 5am when the officer was shot while standing near their patrol car. "There is little doubt that an officer was the intended target of this shooting and that this officer just happened to be the one who was there," said chief Janee Harteau in a statement picked up by the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The shooter is still at large. (More Minneapolis stories.)
