How happy are you with your time spent in and out of the office? If you fall within the average, there's probably room for improvement. The employee rating of work-life balance has been falling steadily over the last five years and this year sits at a rating of 3.2 out of 5. Perhaps it's time for a career change. Glassdoor lists the top work-life balance jobs, based on at least 75 reviews from employees of at least 75 companies, along with their rating and average salary:

  1. Data scientist: 4.2; $114,808
  2. SEO manager: 4.1; $45,720
  3. Talent acquisition specialist: 4.0; $63,504
  4. Social media manager: 4.0; $40,000
  5. Substitute teacher: 3.9; $24,380
