Terry Crews has revealed a "dirty little secret" in a series of Facebook videos: For decades, the NFL player turned Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor and Old Spice guy was addicted to porn. "It really, really messed up my life in a lot of ways," the actor says, per the New York Daily News. Crews, 47, says his addiction began at age 12 and progressed into his married years, unbeknownst to his wife. "It was exhilarating, a rush, like taking a drug," he wrote in a 2014 book. "People become objects … things to be used rather than people to be loved." It got to the point that "I believed that I was more valuable than my wife as a human being because I was a man," he says, per the Washington Post. "I felt like my wife owed me sex."

Six or seven years ago, "my wife was literally like, 'I don't know you anymore. I'm out of here,'" Crews says. That's when he went to rehab. "I got help because I needed it," he says. "If day turns into night and you are still watching, you probably got a problem. And that was me." His wife stayed by his side and Crews says he's now ready to help other men get over their addictions. "I'm calling on men to be more accountable," he says. "There's a lot of men out there blaming their wives for this." His advice for women: "You cannot accept any pornography in your man's life. Anything that will make you feel denigrated ... you cannot accept it." (Women are as much at risk for porn addiction as men.)
