It is now day 13 of a partial government shutdown, and neither side looks willing to budge on the main sticking point of money for a border wall. The pain of the shutdown is spread unevenly throughout the country, with some states affected more than others, notes WalletHub. The site crunched the numbers on several metrics, including the number of federal jobs, money allotted for federal contracts, and the number of people on food stamps. It is perhaps no surprise that if you count DC, it ranks as the hardest hit. On the other end of the spectrum? Minnesota. The top 10 in each category follow:

Most affected states:

  1. District of Columbia, 78.59 score out of 100
  2. New Mexico, 65.95
  3. Maryland, 65.70
