Accused of Hiding Teacher's Body, Now Wanted for Rape

One of the two men charged in connection with the 2005 death of Georgia high school teacher Tara Grinstead allegedly raped two women at gunpoint on Tuesday. Bo Dukes faces new charges of rape, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after the alleged assault in Warner Robins. "Officers believe he brought two women to his home under threat of physical violence and with a firearm in hand committed the offenses," a police statement reads, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The 34-year-old isn't in custody and was last seen driving in Warner Robins on Tuesday evening in a white 2013 Kia Sorento with Georgia tag number PFP1116. Police say "Dukes has made suicidal threats" and is "known to drink heavily and has a history of cocaine use."

Last June, Dukes was indicted on charges of concealing a death, tampering with evidence, and hindering apprehension of a criminal. Authorities said he helped his former classmate, Ryan Duke, move Grinstead's body from her Ocilla home in 2005, when she was killed during a reported robbery. Authorities believe the body was then burned on a pecan farm owned by Dukes' uncle. Dukes previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to steal government property in 2013. Granted supervised release in October 2015, he failed to pay $130,000 restitution and complete 40 hours of community service, prompting a judge to order his return to prison to serve six months. He was to have surrendered within 45 days of the ruling in late November. (Dukes' girlfriend gave him up in the Grinstead case.)
