Texas authorities are seeking a man who allegedly shot a barber three times over his son's imperfect haircut, CBS Dallas Fort-Worth reports. Seems it all began when the 13-year-old got a haircut Saturday at Magic's Kutts & Fades in the Houston suburb of Katy. The boy later returned with his father, who said it wasn't done right, and the barber fixed the cut for free, per KHOU. As the pair were leaving, detectives say the father got in a fight with the barber in the parking lot and shot the barber in the arm, leg, and stomach. The father then drove off with his son in his car. Luckily, the barber has been hospitalized in stable condition and is expected to survive, per CNN.

"I think it's just crazy for anyone to shoot anybody over a haircut, period," says Harris County Detective Wallace Wyatt. "Like I said, the disturbing part is his 13-year-old son witnessed this, which makes him a part of this, so this 13-year-old son knows he needs to come forward and tell us what happened. The father knows he needs to come forward and tell us what happened. Just to be an example, to be a good father and say, 'I messed up. I have something to prove to my son, and this is how you fix it.'" The Harris County Sheriff's Office says it's seeking a "black male" in "a gray 4-door sedan, possibly [a] Honda Accord."
