The fan who caught the ball from Aaron Judge's 62nd home run of the season—a slam that propelled the 30-year-old slugger for the New York Yankees into the record books, breaking Roger Maris' number for most home runs in a season for the American League—has a big decision on his hands. Dallas' Cory Youmans had originally told CNN affiliate WFAA that he wasn't sure what his next move would be regarding the elite orb of cowhide in his possession, noting, "That's a good question." As for Judge, he said after Tuesday's game that the ball hadn't been returned to him, which he admitted "would be great," but he acknowledged that Youmans had caught it fair and square and that "they made a great catch out there, and they got every right to it."

Now, sweetening the pot is a big offer for Youmans: The owner of the California-based Memory Lane sports memorabilia auction house says he's offered Youmans $2 million for the ball. "I feel the offer is way above fair, if he is inclined to sell it," JP Cohen told the AP on Wednesday, noting he's been texting and emailing Youmans, with no reply yet from the lucky fan. Cohen says his company has a good rapport with the Yankees, and that should he get his hands on the ball, he'd be willing to lend it to the team for exhibits. The record price for a home run ball is $3 million, forked over for Mark Mcgwire's record-setting 70th in 1998. (More Aaron Judge stories.)
