During her 2011 murder trial, Casey Anthony accused her father of covering up what she had originally said was the accidental drowning death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. Now, Anthony is "going further" than that, per TMZ. Her newest allegations against her dad come via a new docuseries, Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies, set to debut on Peacock at the end of the month. "I lied," a tearful Anthony, who was acquitted in the murder case, admits in the first full trailer for the program, per the Hollywood Reporter. "But no one asked why." People has gotten a first look at the series, in which the 36-year-old claims what she lied about was that her estranged father, George Anthony, staged his granddaughter's drowning because he may have been sexually abusing Caylee, as Casey has claimed he and her brother did to Casey herself.

"He'd put a pillow over my face and smother me to knock me out," she alleges of her father in the documentary interview, insinuating he may have done the same to Caylee. "That happened several times. I'm sure there were times where I was incapacitated as a child where my body was limp and lifeless." She notes that on June 16, 2008, the last day Caylee was seen alive, she was woken up in bed, where she says she'd fallen asleep with Caylee, by her father, who was "shaking me and asking me where Caylee was." She said she started searching, then ran into her father again outside their home, holding a drenched Caylee. "He handed her to me," Anthony says in the interview. "Said it was my fault. That I caused it."

But, she adds, "he didn't rush to call 911 and he wasn't trying to resuscitate her. I collapsed with her in my arms. She was heavy, and she was cold." Anthony says soon after that, her father took Caylee from her, told her "it's going to be OK," and then "went away." She says she went to stay with her boyfriend at the time and didn't mention what had happened, but that for at least a month, until her arrest, "I genuinely believed that Caylee was still alive." Anthony also now says that she doesn't think Caylee could have accidentally fallen into the family's aboveground pool, as there was no ladder or other way for her to "shimmy up." "There's no way to explain that, unless [George] put her in the pool to cover up what he did," she says in the interview. The docuseries begins streaming Nov. 29. (More Casey Anthony stories.)
