Cheez Whiz Redoes Rushmore
Completing a commission from Cheez-It brand crackers, Troy Landwehr puts the finishing touches on a sculpture of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, carved from a block of cheddar cheese weighing more than 600 pounds, Friday, June 29, 2007, in Little Chute, Wis. Troy Landwehr of Little Chute, Wisconsin has carved a block of cheese weighing over 600 pounds into a replica of Mt. Rushmore.  The project was commissioned by Cheez-It snack crackers, on whose products the mountain of cheese will eventually be served.  Troy hits the road shortly to promote his cheese mountain.

No word on whether Mt. Rushmore gets its own seat on the plane. Eventually the cheese sculpture will be carved into small pieces for Oklahomans to consume. (More Wisconsin stories.)
